Joint Clinical Assessments: why biometrics should be in the room
JCA clocks do not wait for the CSR to be beautiful. The evidence tables have to be born with the study, not scavenged after it.
EU Joint Clinical Assessment compresses the time between a European filing and a comparative-evidence conversation. Market access has always wanted this. The difference now is the clock is shared, and the questions are structured.
If ADaM is built only for the CSR, JCA teams inherit displays they cannot reuse. Indirect comparisons need their own traces. Sensitivity analyses need to be pre-specified enough to defend, flexible enough to survive a new comparator.
Our view: name a biometrics owner for JCA at protocol, not at dossier. Program the comparative tables as a sibling of the CSR package. It is cheaper than a reconstruction.
